International superstars and British band, Coldplay, made an appearance at the London Palladium on 11th November to perform a gig in front of 2,000 lucky competition winners.

Throughout the evening, the British band performed a string of hits including The Scientist, Viva La Vida, Clocks, Paradise and Fix You, with Chris Martin performing an encore in the form of Leonard Cohen’s song, Suzanne, dedicating it to “absent friends”. The death of Cohen was announced earlier the same day at the age of 82.

The show was broadcast live on Absolute Radio, with Martin telling the audience that it felt good to be “back in our homeland”. He said: “I know for some this week has been a strange one but if it proves anything, it’s you can achieve your goals. The universe works in strange ways.”
